NCCPA National Statistics (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) 2018. This document provides an excellent overview of the PA profession and breaks down how many PAs are in what speciality. For example the surgery subspecialty represents 18% of PAs. It even drills down to what you would be doing while a PA in that specialty.
